Where are you located, and what areas do you service?
Diya Studios Photography is located in Piscataway, New Jersey, I serve the New York/New Jersey Metro Area and Eastern Pennsylvania. If you are outside of these areas, please don’t hesitate to call and check my availability for your special event.

What is your style and approach to capturing my BIG Day!
While some of the pictures captured from the wedding and reception will be group shots and pictures of the Bride and Groom, the majority of my shots will be candid moments that outline the story of the day. I believe this style of photography allows your guests to relax and enjoy themselves as the day unfolds.

Who will be capturing the images from my Wedding Day?
I, Bhavin Patel, will be the primary photographer for your engagement session and wedding day. I do not outsource my photography to other photographers, so rest assured you will not have a random photographer show up on your special day.

How long will you be at my wedding? Are there specific timings?
Diya Studios Photography doesn’t believe in time allocation for weddings as we will be there entire day. The norms of setting time limits creates a rushed feeling and adds stress to your BIG day. We normally get there before the Bride starts to get ready and leave after the last dance is played.

What about digital rights to the pictures? Do we get them?
Yes, shortly after your wedding, Diya Studios Photography will be working hard to scan through the images of the day, selecting the BEST moments, editing every image until it looks perfect, and provide you with a password-protected online gallery where you and your guests can view/print pictures from the day. While you enjoy the pictures, we will be working on developing two DVDs. The first DVD will contain a slideshow(if chosen with package) video of the BEST moments of the day and the second DVD will contain the edited Hi-Resolution images so you can print as many pictures as you like.

Do you travel?
I will travel to PA, NJ, NYC, and Long Island for weddings.

Do you provide partial day coverage?
Yes, we do. Please contact me here to request a quote.

Outside of weddings, do you shoot Bah Mitzvahs, Sweet-Sixteen’s, Quinceanearas, and corporate events?
Yes, we do. We specialize in Wedding and Event Photography. Please feel free to give us a call so we can help capture you next celebration.

Do you deliver ALL the images form the day?
No we do not. We pride ourselves for being able to go through your images from your event and selecting the very best ones; while, removing unflattering, out of focus, duplicate images or even Uncle Bob w/the weird facial expression before you view them. We feel our customers should not have to waste time in going to through these types of images; but should instead, enjoy the pictures. It is our job. It’s really that simple.

Are all the images edited on the final DVD?
Yes, they are. Every image that is delivered will be post-processed using our artistic vision during our post-production process. We make sure every image you receive is color corrected, exposure corrected, tone-mapped, sharpened(if needed) before providing them to you. How many images should I expect to see from my Engagement Shoot?
Most Engagement shoots will last anywhere 2-3 hours. Expect to see 50-100 images from this session.

How many images should I expect to see from my Wedding?
I typically average our 75-100 images per hour of Event Coverage.

How many pages and images do we get in our wedding album?
Typically, a standard album from Diya Studios Photography will consists of 20 pages and have between 60-80 images.

Can I add additional pages to the album?
Yes you can. Howevr, there is fee associated with each page to cover material and design/layout of the images.

Will I receive the Hi-Res images from my events?
Yes you will. All of our packages comes with all the Hi-Res images delivered to you on a DVD or Flash Drive. You will also have the ability to reprint the images wherever you would like.

What if I lose the DVD with all the images?
You’re in luck, we backup all of your images from your event for 1 year following your event. There is a $50 replacement charge for your DVD. However to avoid this, we strongly urge you to create a digital backup once you receive the original DVD from us.

How do you backup your images?
Immediately following your event, all the images from the day are downloaded to a local server and a second copy is sent to for offsite backup. Because of this workflow, there are two copies of your images at any given moment.

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes, we do. Most wedding vendors require liability insurance.

How do I reserve my wedding date?
A signed contract along with a deposit is required for Diya Studios Photography to reserve your date.

What is your deposit fee?
Diya Studios Photography requires a deposit equaling 50% of your selected package. Without a deposit, you date is not reserved.

When do we pay the final balance?
Typically, for event photography the remainder can be paid at the event. For weddings, the balance is due two weeks prior to the event.

What type of equipment do you use?
Diya Studios Photography uses high quality DSLR cameras. Our photographers will use multiple cameras during your wedding to ensure there are no technical problems and no moments are lost.

The venue we chose is very dark; how will you handle this?
Diya Studios Photography will arrive early for any event and review the lighting. If additional lighting is required and your venue allows for it, we will setup the necessary lighting to ensure the images are captured correctly. If your venue does not allow flash photography, we use the industrys best low light performance cameras and lenses with low apertures to ensure image are bright and correctly exposed.

Do you shoot in Black and White, Color or Both?
Diya Studios Photography will shoot all their pictures in color. Any of your pictures can be converted to Black and White upon request.

Do all of your packages include an album?
No, in fact, many of our clients have requested to opt out of an album and requested photo only packages. Please consult us for your needs.

Who pays for shipping on our Prints, Albums, and DVDs?
All prints, Albums, DVDs will be priced into the final package price. Diya Studios Photography will cover the cost of shipping.

I may require additional DVD copies for friends and family. Can you provide it?
Diya Studios Photography will provide the original set of DVDs with each package. You can make additional copies yourself at anytime. However, if you prefer we create the DVDs for you, there will be an additional charge of $25.00 per DVD.

What if we cancel our event, will we receive our deposit back?
Unfortunately, no. Deposits are required to reserve your date. Because we only shoot one event per day, we do not accept other clients for your reserved date.

If we are required to change our date because of an emergency, can we apply the deposit to the new date?
Yes, you can — provided the new date is available.
